| Julie Burdick, CPCT, Owner/Operator Julie is a dog trainer, behavior specialist, business manager, mother of one beautiful boy and five 4-legged kids! She has a very full schedule trying to balance everything and everyone. Her love for the doggie business began back in high school from a part-time, summer position at a large dog boarding facility in Portland, Oregon. After high school and college, Julie began her business adventures in dog grooming. She owned a very successful dog business and happily groomed dogs for 10 years. But it had always been a life long dream to own a dog daycare and boarding kennel. Julie has done extensive individual studies in canine behavior and has participated in training programs by the creme de la creme of behaviorists, Ian Dunbar and Patricia McConnell. She has been training and competing in obedience and conformation at AKC, UKC and CKC dog shows for 20 years. Her list of breeds she has trained include, Poodles, Labrador Retriever, and Golden Retriever, but her main love is for the Wheaten Terrier. | Josh Burdick, Owner/Operator Josh is a behavior specialist, master dog wrangler, maintenance extrodinaire, husband, father of one handsome boy and five 4-legged kids. Josh is our "main man" at Play N Stay, making sure everything runs smoothly at our facility and has patience of steel with our doggie guests and their owners. Josh has 6 years experience in individual study of canine behavior and has attended seminars by top animal behaviorists. Before Play N Stay, Josh was a general contractor and operated a very successful family owned construction business. But his love for dogs pulled him away and now he spends his days at Play N Stay. But don't worry, Josh still gets to enjoy his trade...he designed and built our facility and is always working on making it better each and every day! |
| Megan, Lead Technician Megan has been with us for 2 1/2 years and is Play N Stay's "right hand woman". She does a little of everything around the facility, including keeping it in line when Josh and Julie are away. When you come into our facility, you will most likely be met by Megan's smiling face. Megan is a shining star with her outgoing personality, friendliness to all and energy that can surpass even a golden retriever. Megan has the natural ability to read dogs and always brings a positive feel to Play N Stay. At home, Megan shares her life with her new husband and kitty named Oreo. |
| Gemma, Kennel Caretaker Gemma has been with Play N Stay for 3 years. She came to us after moving from California where she worked in the kennel industry for several years. Gemma is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Our doggie guests LOVE her...she is the official dinner feeder and cookie provider. Though Gemma loves the dogs, at home she shares her life with two cats, Tabitha and Little Bill |
